We hear it all the time in recovery:
“You have to forgive if you want to heal.”
But do you?
What if the person who hurt you isn’t sorry? What if they never acknowledged what they did? What if the betrayal, abuse, lies, abandonment, or broken trust changed your life?
And what if you simply don’t want to forgive them?
This week we’re having an honest conversation about forgiveness, resentment, anger, boundaries, and recovery.
Can you let go of resentment without forgiving?
Can you accept what happened without saying it was okay?
Can you heal while keeping someone permanently out of your life?
And perhaps the biggest question:
Can you be completely free from what someone did to you without ever forgiving them?
There may not be one right answer—and that’s exactly why we’re talking about it.

Maybe healing isn’t about forcing ourselves to forgive.
Maybe it’s about reaching the point where what happened no longer gets to determine how we live.
